📖 Synopsis 

The spaceship Calypso is transporting cryogenically frozen colonists to TOI-1452b, a partially terraformed planet destined for mining. During a routine medical checkup, Dr. Amanda Lindström discovers a disturbing anomaly: several passengers exhibit profound genetic modifications, even though they are legally listed as fully human. 

The investigation reveals that this is not a mistake or an infection, but a deliberate physiological optimization, designed to increase resistance and performance in extreme environments. The colonists signed their consent. The contract is legal. The consequences, predictable.Upon arrival on the planet, the colony begins operations. 

Then the first symptoms appear: violent dreams, irritability, loss of control. The promised productivity degenerates into a collective psychotic outbreak that forces the Calypso's crew to intervene to protect the unmodified colonistsWhen the violence reaches the colony's own regent, Commander Brenda Ivanova is forced to make an irreversible decision. 

The incident is contained. The human cost is high. From Earth, the response is cold and definitive: the colony is viable, the contract remains in effect.As the Calypso sails away from the planet, it becomes clear that what happened was not a mistake, but a model. And that the true threat has yet to arrive.
